My name is Ping He and I am an artist living and working in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
My inspiration is from my surroundings and nature. Most of my time I paint botanical art or “plein air”, standing on the canal or in tulip fields, or struggling with figuring out the layers of petals. I am focused on painting.

I try to give my subjects - it’s new meaning. By putting my observation and concentrations on the subject and try to depict enormous energy from these.
I am working in different techniques: watercolor, gouache, ink, oils and mixed media.
Now I am working a lot in mixed media techniques to combine the translucency of the magical watercolor and defined effects of ink strokes with my Chinese brushstrokes.
My paintings found their new homes in many countries around the world. I am dedicating my time to teaching at my art studio in Amsterdam. I offer classes in watercolour, Ink and mixed media.
Since 2025 most the workshops and courses will be available online.
